SERV Ox Bucks Berks N'hants Blood Bikes

Chairman’s Blog October

Rota duty

Big thank you to all who have responded to our call to take
up Rota duties both as Riders and Controllers. We still need
more to help with the Rota so please, if you can help, put
yourself onto the Rota for Rider/Controller duties or call
Andy Stacey if you have difficulties getting onto the Rota.

NABB Blood Bike

At recent NABB meeting it has been confirmed that Moto
Guzzi have now withdrawn from the program to convert
their model V85TT into Blood Bike configuration.
The only other bike still in the NABB program is the Yamaha
Tracer 700. There is an alteration to the original layout of the
rack on this bike. The rack is now transverse mounted and
not longitudinally as on the FJR. There is no information as to
whether the Tracer 900 will be available in Blood Bike
configuration. All the efforts at Yamaha seem to be directed
at the 700 series.
We have no intention of purchasing the Yamaha Tracer 700.

SERV OBN BMW Blood Bike

The two BMW R1250RTs on order are on schedule for
delivery in the early part of October. The bikes will then be
prepared for Rota duty, and it is hoped to have them ready in
late October or very early November.
Looking ahead, we will be replacing our very high milage FJRs
with BMW R1250RTs.
