What we do and why

SERV OBN – Service by Emergency Rider Volunteers – Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Northamptonshire – provides an out-of-hours rapid-response service to the NHS hospitals in our region, delivering urgent blood, blood products, medical supplies, medical equipment, and human donor milk. We also take samples from Community Hospitals for analysis at major hospitals. Our services are available to the NHS across our region at times when they may have limited access to other transport options, thus saving them the cost of commercial couriers and taxis. We are available every night, and all day too at weekends and on public holidays. We provide our service Free of charge using a fleet of liveried motorcycles and four-wheeled vehicles.
